Maryam Bahreman, a member of Iran's One Million Signatures Campaign, was arrested on 11 May and held in solitary confinement.  After questioning at the Prosecutor's Office on July 5, an order was issued for Ms Bahreman's release on bail. However, the order was not implemented and she remains in Shiraz prison.....</summary>

        <summary>Nominations are now being accepted for the 2010 Human Rights Defenders Tulip award. Nominations must be received by 15 June 2010. 
Established in 2008, the Human Rights Defenders Tulip is an initiative of the Dutch government. It is an award whose purpose is to recognize individuals who have shown exceptional moral courage in protecting and promoting the rights of their fellow human beings. The winner receives an individual cash award of EUR 10,000 and the opportunity to submit a project proposal to intensify his or her human rights work up to a value of EUR 100,000. In addition, the winner is given the opportunity to meet with relevant stakeholders in Europe. An independent jury selects three finalists for the award. The winner is selected by the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs who will present the award at a ceremony in The Hague on 10 December 2010, international Human Rights Day.</summary>
